Share a memorable or heartwarming experience you've had while working with animals at the clinic?
I find it heartwarming when dogs come through the door and are excited to be back because they genuinely enjoy coming to us
What do you find most rewarding about your work with animals?
The most rewarding part for me is being able to gain the trust of the animals we work with. Vet hospitals can be very stressful for pets but it’s nice to feel like I can make it a bit better for them during each visit.
Do you have any special interests or areas of expertise within veterinary medicine?
I have a degree in health and movement science from The University of Sydney. I would love to combine that with vet nursing and potentially explore working in animal rehabilitation.
What advice would you give to pet owners for maintaining their pets' health and well-being:
Regular vet visits and lots of enrichment !
Outside of work, do you have any pets of your own? If so, tell us about them
I have a 3 year old cat named Kumi. She’s from the streets and is terrified of most things but is very food motivated and will do tricks, just like a dog, for treats.
What do you enjoy most about being a part of this particular veterinary clinic/team
We have a small and tight-knit team who work well together and are always supportive. I like that good patient care is always top priority over anything else and that we all do the daily NYT puzzles together during down time!
